How to Host an Ombré Party: Ch. 11 – Decor Details Roundup

Happy National Dessert Day! Today we are rounding out the decor section of the blog’s mini-series: How to Host an Ombré Party.

As I mentioned in this post earlier in the series, when I’m styling an event, I avoid using matching decor pieces to keep the space from looking static and flat.  Details should coordinate but not necessarily match exactly. Below are some additional items from the party that helped carry the ombré sunset theme without being redundant.

The great thing about all these items is they are fairly inexpensive! The paper lanterns were less than $2.00 each and you don’t need a lot to make an impact – especially in a small space like a private home.

Fuchsia, Coral, and Lemon Chiffon Paper Lanterns
Magenta Striped Favor Bags by Dress My Cupcake
Wooden Alphabet Blocks  / Painted (by yours truly) Craft Letters
Party Invitation / Pink, and Yellow Gerbera Daisies (any local florist)

I love having fresh flowers and think they go a long way when it comes to event decor. They don’t have to be expensive if you assemble them yourself and you can get them at most grocery stores or local florists.

Do you have favorite details when you plan an event that you always make sure to include?

And, in honor of National Dessert Day, check out these posts on How to Bake and Frost an Ombré Cake and How to Bake Ombré -Layered Cupcakes.
